Mining Sluice
For a separate fee starting at $9.95, visitors will get a bag of mining rough that they’ll place in a screen-bottom tray that’s then set in a water-powered sluice. The water will wash away the rough, leaving only gems and fossils.
Some of the fossils and arrowheads in the mining rough are similar to ones that could be found locally, while others and gemstones may be from all over the world.
Collecting gemstones and fossils is exciting for all ages!

Stop at our gift shop for souvenirs or presents to take home to loved ones.
In the Bag
Each visitor will receive a take-home collection bag and a laminated card that identifies the fossils and gems contained in the rough, as well as where they were originally found.
You’ll leave with a souvenir that’s not only fun but will educate you and your kids!
